Walk This Way teaches older adults to make healthy lifestyle choices. Participants engage in walking and other exercises while learning about nutrition, chronic disease prevention, safety, and public transportation.
Walk This Way is a 20-week comprehensive functional fitness exercise program that incorporates our evidence-based Spring Chickens™ curriculum including whole body exercises and nutritional education. Additional educational topics include: pedestrian safety, fall prevention, chronic diseases, and other health related topics.

Results
After 20 weeks of Walk This Way, 93% of the participants improved their lower leg strength. 85% of the participants improved their ¼ mile endurance walk. Participants also reported high levels of social support via new friendships.
