“It’s fun to exercise with my neighbors”
- Maureen, Spring Chickens participant

We help get older adults moving. We believe...

  • Seniors have a need for movement and exercise as much as their grandchildren
  • All seniors should have access to healthy food no matter what their mobility
  • Volunteerism is a healthy way for older adults to engage in life
  • Physical activity and good nutrition have the greatest influence on successful aging

Generations Community Wellness believes that all older adults deserve opportunities to thrive.

Our Programs

  • Spring Chickens is an evidence-based physical activity program for older adults with a broad range of abilities. Classes are offered in various locations throughout the Bay Area.
  • Walk this Way teaches older adults to make healthy lifestyle choices to enhance their abilities to take full advantage of their talents, learning new skills and sports to prevent the onset of chronic disease.
  • Successful Aging Training teaches seniors and professionals alike to properly use and teach our unique evidence-based physical activity program, Spring Chickens.

What people are saying…

“I enjoy the exercises very much. It’s really helped me. I can walk for 1 mile now because of the leg exercises. Thank you.”
- Beverly, Spring Chickens participant

“A lady approached me and I started to take a few steps backwards and I started to lose my balance and trip on the parking curb block. I could see 20 sets of eyes waiting for me to fall but instantly I took a step backwards and caught myself. I attribute the “Walk This Way” class to preventing my fall based on the exercises that I’ve learned in the program.”
- Sarah, Walk this Way participant

“I like this class. It helps and is fun for my body. I love this class.”
- Myung, Spring Chickens participant
